Bhante Dhammasubho was born in Seremban, Malaysia, with ancestral roots in Putian, Fujian, China.
In his early years, Bhante pursued his studies in Canada and later worked in Malaysia for several years. On 31 December 1989, he ordained as a Theravāda monk in Bangkok, Thailand, under the preceptorship of the late Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, H.H. Phra Somdet Nyanasamvara.
Following his ordination, Bhante trained in Thai forest monasteries and later practised meditation in Myanmar from 1991 to 1993 at the Chanmyay Yeiktha Meditation Centre under the guidance of the Venerable U Janakabhivamsa. Subsequently, he continued his training under the renowned Pa-Auk Sayadaw, focusing on both samatha and vipassanā meditation, and spent many rains retreats at Pa-Auk Forest Monastery.
During his years at Pa-Auk, Bhante also assisted in guiding foreign monastics in Vinaya and monastic training, while actively supporting meditation teaching and Dhamma activities.
In 2008, Bhante was invited to Taiwan to support the propagation of Theravāda Buddhism and to assist in short-term ordination and meditation programmes. In the same year, upon invitation from devotees in Malaysia, he became the abbot of Nandaka Vihara, where he continues to dedicate himself to the teaching and preservation of Theravāda Buddhism, Pāli scriptures, and meditation practice.
In addition to teaching and meditation guidance, Bhante has also contributed to the compilation and translation of several Buddhist publications, including support work related to Light of Wisdom by Pa-Auk Sayadaw, as well as publications such as Daily Chants, Radiating Loving-Kindness, and Excellent Attributes, benefiting Dhamma practitioners worldwide.
淨法尊者（Bhante Dhammasubho）出生于马来西亚芙蓉，籍贯福建莆田。
尊者早年赴加拿大留学，毕业后于马来西亚工作数年。1989年12月31日，尊者于泰国曼谷依止泰国僧王
H.H. Phra Somdet Nyanasamvara 出家受具足戒，正式踏上南传上座部佛教修行之路。
出家后，尊者曾于泰国森林道场修学，并于1991年至1993年前往缅甸 Chanmyay Yeiktha 禅修中心，依止 U Janakabhivamsa 禅师修习内观禅法。其后，尊者进一步依止帕奥禅师（Pa-Auk Sayadaw）修学止观禅法，并多年于帕奥禅林安居修行。
在帕奥禅林期间，尊者亦协助指导外国出家众的戒律与僧团训练，并长期投入禅修教学与佛法弘扬工作。
2008年，尊者应邀前往台湾弘扬南传佛法，并参与短期出家与禅修指导。同年，受马来西亚信众邀请，出任法悦林（Nandaka Vihara）住持，至今持续致力于弘扬南传上座部佛法、巴利经教与止观禅修实践。
除了弘法与教学之外，尊者亦参与多项佛法书籍的编译与整理工作，包括协助整理帕奥禅师英文著作《Light of Wisdom》，以及《Daily Chants》、《Radiating Loving-Kindness》与《Excellent Attributes》等佛法书籍，以利益广大佛法学习者。
